CCCSFAAA TRAINING
COMMITTEE MEETING NOTES
FEBRUARY 24, 2005
Present: Craig Yamamoto, Tim Bonnel, Marianna
Deeken, Bryan Dickason, Rhonda
Mohr, Shandel Roberts.
- Bryan
reported that Chapter 5 of the Cal Grant manual is completed and needs
help to have folks review it. Craig
will forward the information to Karen to see if State Issues will take
this on, as it has been assigned to them in the past.
- Craig
reported on the progress to secure sites.
He reported he would call Sandra today to confirm the sites. UPDATE:
- San
Joaquin Delta College is
confirmed for Thursday, March 24th. Steve Arena is working on securing the
rooms. Gail Hixon is another
resource to help with arrangements at Delta.
- College
of the Canyons had been set for Friday, April 1st, but John
informed Craig that folks would not travel on Friday, and to change it to
Thursday, March 31. Some indicated
that March 31 is Cesar Chavez holiday for them. Sandra is contacting Beth at College of
the Canyons to get it switched to March 31 based upon John’s input. Beth is out ill, but Sandra has been
working with her staff, and we may have to wait until Monday, Feb 28th
for confirmation.
- Riverside Community
College is confirmed for Wednesday,
April 13.
- If
all sites are confirmed by Monday, Feb 28th, Craig will send
out email to CCCSFAAA membership regarding dates, sites, and costs. Per the Executive Board meeting
minutes, costs will be $25 for members and $30 for non-members, which is
the same as last year.
- Marianne
reported she only budgeted for 2 sites, so this may be a problem
depending on costs.
